Dear Lafayette Parents and Families:

As the parent of two recent college graduates myself, I understand and deeply appreciate the significant investment our families make to provide their students with a Lafayette education. I want to thank you for your commitment to our College, and for the trust you have placed in us.

I am writing to share that our Board of Trustees has approved the College’s cost of attendance rates for the 2026-27 academic year. Tuition will be $70,486, housing will be $12,968, board will be $7,928, and the student activity fee stays at $360 for a total cost of attendance of $91,742. This represents a six percent increase from the current year and will be matched by an equivalent increase in our need-based financial aid program.

We sincerely believe that Lafayette is an engine of opportunity that propels students into bright futures. To ensure this experience remains within reach for students from all financial backgrounds, we remain steadfast in our pledge to meet 100% of demonstrated need and to cap loans for families earning below $200,000.

The investment you are making in your student and in the College allows us to attract and retain stellar undergraduates and exceptional teacher-scholars, as well as enjoy a stunningly beautiful campus—all hallmarks of the transformative education that has defined Lafayette for 200 years.

Thank you for your belief in the power of a liberal arts education and being our partners in your child’s education. We are honored to help them unlock their potential and pursue lives of impact.

Yours,

Nicole Hurd
President
